Italian Olive Jar
A small terra-cotta olive jar with handles, the body of the vessel ornamented with decorative bands and incised linear motifs, Italian, ca. 1930. 25 ins. high, 22 ins. diameter; opening diameter 13.5 ins.
Barbara says, "When functional objects become decorative objects we look at them in an entirely different light–now I see pure lines in a hand-thrown pot of elegant proportions with beautifully selected patterns on its circumference".
