A heavy gauge steel cut-out figure of Pan playing his pipe, painted white, American, ca. 1980. 9.5 ft. high, 6.5 ft. wide.

Provenance: Ambassador and Mrs. Joseph Reed of Greenwich, CT.  Joseph Verner Reed was a diplomat who served as the US Ambassador to Morocco from 1981 to 1985.  He also served as the Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations under Presidents Reagan, Clinton, and Obama.  He was the recipient of the Legion of Honour and was particularly known for his crackling wit!.
