An exceptional bronze figure of Mercury, after the sixteenth-century original by Giambologna (1524-1608), standing on tiptoe on one leg, with left arm aloft holding a caduceus, his left foot on the West Wind, Continental, ca. 1900. 76 ins. high, 15.5 ins. square at base.
