A carved Portland stone sundial, the baluster in the Georgian style, with allegorical scenes probably representing the seasons, the bronze dial plate with the coat of arms of the city of London, bearing digits 1-12 on each half of the dial to reflect that daylight lasts for longer than 12 hours at Britain’s latitude during summer months, the dial (with later gnomon) signed “David Pullen, Londini, Fecit” and bearing the date 1734, English, the baluster dating to the early 20th century. 44 ins. overall height, 16 ins. diameter at top.
